My research focuses on factors affecting family well-being. I also have interests in the social determinants of health, health services, and health psychology. My dissertation plans to examine how family mental health and health service access interact longitudinally across an electronic mental health (eHealth) intervention, to understand how health systems and mental health interventions can together support family well-being.

As an IMPaCT Fellow, I am motivated to learn more about the design of clinical trials. In line with my health psychology interests, I am especially interested in the experiences of pregnant and postpartum people with diabetes and co-occurring mental health concerns. I hope to leverage my learnings from IMPaCT to design a clinical trial examining whether participation in a mental health eHealth program may improve the mental health of parents experiencing diabetes and mental health challenges, as compared to services as usual.

Outside of academics, I try to carve out time to play the guitar, listen to music, read, and go for walks or runs. I am excited to begin as an IMPaCT Fellow. I believe its training and mentorship opportunities will enhance my learnings and clarify my future career interests as a psychologist and researcher.
