Carmen Riggioni

Dr. Riggioni is a pediatric allergist and clinical immunologist with a special interest in food allergy diagnosis and treatment. She completed her initial allergy training at Imperial College London, followed by a second fellowship at the Universitat de Barcelona and Hospital Sant Joan de Deu in Spain. She later worked as a research associate at the National University of Singapore and a Clinical Associate in the Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology Division at the National University Hospital in Singapore.

Dr. Riggioni leads clinical trials exploring long-term outcomes of food immunotherapy and improving the safety and accessibility of food allergy treatments. She serves as Associate Editor for the Pediatric Allergy and Immunology journal (PAI) and is an elected member of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) Immunotherapy Interest Group. She is also the Interest Section Advisor for food allergy and anaphylaxis of the Canadian Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (CSACI).

Currently, Dr. Riggioni is a staff physician in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Immunology and Allergy and the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Program (FAAP) at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada, and an Assistant Professor at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto.
