I’m a psychologist and researcher with a passion for understanding core aspects of brain health; particularly pain management and how emotions are shaped and processed, especially in children. My work focuses on technology-assisted mindfulness for pain management and emotion regulation, with a strong interest in supporting children’s pain experiences and helping autistic children develop emotion regulation skills in ways that feel empowering.

Over the past decade, I’ve worked with adults with migraines in randomized controlled trials, as well as with autistic children and their families in community settings; both centered on mindfulness and emotion regulation. These experiences have shaped how I view science: not just as data, but as something that should meaningfully support everyday life. My current research explores technology-assisted mindfulness, using accessible neurofeedback tools to help autistic children better understand and manage their emotions.

I’m especially motivated by making research practical and accessible for families, with a focus on home-based approaches that support emotional regulation, sleep, pain management, and overall brain health.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, theatre, meaningful conversations over Persian tea, and quiet moments in nature. I’m guided by a simple goal: helping people feel more understood and at ease in their own minds.
