Kaitlin is a clinical dietitian at BC Children's Hospital. Her healthcare experience has been focused on critical care, and she is currently the sole dietitian in BC's pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). In addition to her clinical caseload, Kaitlin is a doctoral student under Dr. Rajavel Elango in the Women+ and Child Health Sciences program within the Faculty of Medicine.

Her doctoral research is shaped by her experience as a clinical dietitian and the identified gap in nutrition care for children requiring nutritional support. Her dissertation will center on quantitative work optimizing protein delivery by modifying the method of administration, as well as a qualitative evaluation of family-food-value integration in critical care.

When she’s not advocating in her clinical role or pursuing higher education, you can find her enjoying BC’s great outdoors with her family.
