Julia Upton

My clinical and research interests are food allergy treatments including desensitization therapies, allergy diagnostics, and advancing the recognition and treatment of immunodeficiencies. I earned a B.Sc. from Queen’s University before proceeding to Western University for an Honours diploma and MD, then residency at McMaster University, a fellowship in Clinical Immunology and Allergy at the University of Toronto, and an MPH from the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. Clinical trials are revealing new ways to reshape the immune system, paving the path for better prevention and management of many diseases. My hope is for every child to live their healthiest life, and I’m passionate about mentoring the next generation of pediatric researchers to help make that possible. Outside of work, I cherish time with my wonderful family and find joy in travel and comedy.
