Molly Cairncross

Dr. Cairncross is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at Simon Fraser University, Investigator at BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute, and Associate Member at Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute’s Centre for Aging SMART. She is also a Registered Psychologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC with practice in neuropsychology across the lifespan.

Cairncross’ is passionate about developing and testing digital health interventions that support youth and their families after concussion. Her goal is to use digital platforms to connect youth and families with evidence-based knowledge and care that is accessible, cost effective, and informed by the needs of patients, families, and health care providers. She is actively engaged with the Canadian Concussion Network and the Canadian Traumatic Brain Injury Research Consortium. She serves as an expert panel member on the Living Clinical Practice Guidelines for Pediatric Concussion.

Outside of work, she enjoys relaxing at home with her partner and adventure cat, watching her very busy hummingbird feeder, and camping in the backcountry where she can take a break from emails!
