Suzanne Deliscar
Suzanne Deliscar is a mother of one child who has a rare and complex medical diagnosis. She has acted as a parent-partner on a number of on-going research studies, advisory groups, and committees, including RareKids-CAN, the CHILD-BRIGHT Network’s Engagement Council, the University of Calgary’s Precision Neurodevelopment Lab, the Pan-Canadian Genome Library, PCORI, and the Health Standards Organization's Primary Health Care Technical Committee, among others. Her research interests include pediatric rare disease, pediatric complex care, systems navigation, digital health tools, and caregiver support. She is also interested in the use of translation and interpretation to improve accessibility for both research participants and family researchers. Her professional background is in law and languages, and she is currently a French and Spanish legal and official document translator as well as an apostille agent.
